One of the first lodges, built around 1944, is situated on the site of a much earlier building's foundation, dated 1907. It was designed as a summer house by Lee Baty, Nell's nephew-in-law, who would spend entire summers with Nell at the Ranch. It was named after Kate, Nell's niece and Lee Baty.
This lodge is full sized and sleeps twelve, with full amenities. Located near the center of the property, it looks over Shamrock Lake, and is a very short walk to the shared sandy beach.

"When I was growing up our family would visit Reed Ranch every summer. These are my favorite memories. Staying at Katylee and going fishing every day. Now I would like to bring my little ones up and visit our favorite fishing holes. We appreciate the opportunity to come and visit the ranch."
- Beth B.
"Wonderful childhood memories I have from the Katy Lee! My family rented it out for 10 years or so every summer when I was a child, and all of our friends rented the other buildings there."
- Missy M.
